I loved all of the international favors I experienced while living in LA. Rosewater is one such flavor. It is usually paired with something sweet, but wanted to try it in a jam with something spicy, like habaneros.
I purée habaneros, seeds and all, to add to the vinegar and sugar base. Diced habaneros, red peppers & rose petals are added for flavor and color. It is finished with just enough rosewater for a floral taste to balance with the heat.
It is a great dip with cream cheese or spread on a turkey sandwich or a glaze for grilled chicken.
